The charts below illustrate the reasons why students of different ages study, and how employers in the UK give support to the students.

In the first chart, the under 26 years of age, students tend to study for their career and its approximately 80 percent. On the other hand, students who are over 49, study for their personal interest (70%). From the age of 26-29 the students care about their career, also the 30-39 group, and the most neutral student group is the 40-49 age group. They got the same percentage in both career and interest. Most of the employers in the UK support the under 26 group, with approximately 63 to 65 percent, and the lowest is given to the 30-39 group (35%).

In conclusion, the most important trend and the essential part is that the under 26 age group students study for their career and the over 49 students educate themselves for their personal interest. Also the under 26 group has the most employer support in the UK.
