Table

This table and bar combinations discuss how countries around the world use information technology in 1999/2000.
In table 1, the numbers of PC's are the highest in the USA and lowest in Japan with 36 million PCs. Also in Internet hosts the USA is the highest; EU-15 comes second, and Japan comes last. Also in Internet users and mobile phones.
In figure one, the Scandinavian countries and the Netherlands, have the highest proportion of people using a personal computer. Then come Luxembourg and the United Kingdom, and also Italy. The lowest is Greece.
In figure 3, the Scandinavian countries and the Netherlands, have the highest proportion of people using the internet, and the lowest in Greece.
In conclusion, the USA has the highest information technology in 1999 to 2000 around the world, and then comes the EU-15 and Japan.

Portfolio task 2



People today move to new cities or new countries to study or work. Those people will face a lot of challenges and problems. Some of them will get used to it, and the others will not.
There are some challenges people who move to new cities or countries will face. One of the challenges is a cultural challenge; people, for example from the Arab world, won't get used to the western culture in Europe. Laws are different in each country around the globe; also language which is one of the most important challenges and the hardest. Because for a foreigner it's hard to communicate with the local people, Also weather will affect the person's personality; some countries in the winter you can't see the sun at all, which makes people get depressed and commit suicide because there is nothing else to do. Homesickness also is one of the challenges people should face. So people should set some strategies before migrating to another country. For an example, they should research the country they are visiting. What is the weather, in which language people communicate, and what the laws that people should obey are.
In conclusion, with time people who move to the new cities or countries, will get used to the country they are studying or working in.

This graph and the table show the number of fishermen in millions and the world’s top ten exporters of fish in 2000.
            In the graph, Asia is the most developed one, compared to the other regions. In 1970, there were 11 million fishermen, and in 1980 it increased to 14 million fishermen, and in the year 2000 it increased to approximately 26 to 27 million in fishermen. On the other hand Africa dropped from the year 1970 to 2000, from 12 million to less than 4 million fishermen. In South America it maintained the same with 8 million fishermen, and in North America it increased a bit and also in Europe it dropped or decreased then increased.
            In the table, Thailand in Asia is the world’s top exporter of fish and South Korea also in Asia is the lowest of the top ten. Norway comes second, and the USA third.
            In conclusion, Asia had the highest number of fishermen, and the top country among the world’s exporters of fish.
